Always reliable for giving

Does anyone else always come back to Compassion International? Their education and training programs are just consistently good. My sponsored child loves the support, and I appreciate the tax receipts, though I do wish they had gift matching more often like World Vision sometimes does. Still, it's a great organization.

Easy to donate online

I made a one-time donation to their Christmas Gift Fund last month. The website was pretty straightforward, didn't have any trouble finding where to give. It felt good to contribute, and the confirmation email came right away. No fuss, which is how I like it when I'm donating.

Consistent support for years

I've been sponsoring with Compassion for a while now, this is my third child through them. The process for setting up my new sponsorship this time was just as smooth as the first two, which I appreciate. They still make it easy to manage my monthly giving online. Getting my tax receipt for the year always comes quickly too. It's good to know some things stay reliable.

Value for contribution

I looked into a few different organizations before choosing Compassion for a vocational scholarship donation. The tax-deductible aspect was a big plus for me, making my contribution go further. Knowing my money is supporting a specific program like that, rather than just a general fund, made me feel it was a really good use of my donation. The whole setup was clear about where the funds go, which helped me decide.

What if something happens and I can't afford the sponsorship anymore? Is it easy to cancel or pause it?

D Derek 1 month ago
You can just call them or manage it online, I think. They're pretty understanding, it's not a contract or anything.

I had to pause mine for a bit last year and it was super easy. Just contacted their support and they handled it, no questions asked really. They find another sponsor for the child.

Does anyone know if Compassion is good for tax deductions? Like, if I donate to the Christmas fund, can I write that off?

S Sophie H. 2 months ago
Yep, all donations are tax deductible. They'll send you a receipt.

They send you an annual statement for everything you've given, so it's all good for taxes.

I'm looking into sponsoring but also considering World Vision. Any thoughts on how Compassion compares to them?

C Cleo 1 month ago
Both are good, but I feel like Compassion is a bit more focused on the individual child connection.

From what I've seen, Compassion has really good transparency about where your money goes. Not sure about World Vision as much, but both are legit.

Hey guys, thinking of sponsoring a child. How much does it actually cost each month? Just wondering about the commitment.

K Kevin 1 month ago
It's like $43 a month I think? Not super cheap but definitely makes a difference.

Yeah it's $43. All tax deductible too, so that's a plus.

Are there ever any promo codes or discounts for sponsoring? Like for new sponsors?

D Derek 1 month ago
Nah, it's a charity so they don't really do promo codes for sponsorship. Your donation is the 'deal' in a way lol.

I've never seen any discount codes. Sometimes they have matching gift campaigns though where your donation is doubled, so keep an eye out for those.
